Cadillac Deville Models & History 1999
The all-sedan DeVille series again featured the DeVille, d’Elegance, and Concours models.
- The Northstar 4.6-liter V-8 was again the engine for the series, with the 275-horsepower version powering the DeVille and d’Elegance and the 300-horse version powering the Concours.
- Both engines again were coupled to the 4T80-E electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission with viscous converter clutch.
- Both the d’Elegance and Concours sedans offered the new massaging lumbar seats as optional equipment.
- Built into Cadillac’s four-way power lumbar system, a series of 20 independent massage rollers cycled in an up/down motion to massage back muscles.
- This decreased muscle tension and reduced fatigue for improved comfort.
