1966 Aston Martin Short Chassis Volante

As an interim model between the DB5 and Db6, the Short Chassis Volante was one of the rarest Aston Martins. It used a short DB5 chassis but featured the front end from the DB6 with a DB5 tail. Furthermore, it was the first Aston Martin to adopt the Volante term which would be used for many subsequent convertibles. Only 37 examples of the Short Chassis Volante were built until the model was replaced by the DB6 Volante.
