Studebaker made history as the first major American manufacturer to unveil a post-World War II redesign in 1947. Crafted by renowned automobile stylists Raymond Loewy and Virgil Exner, the new Studebakers showcased groundbreaking styling. As trends evolved and Loewy’s design aged, the company enlisted the expertise of esteemed automotive architect Brooks Stevens for a makeover.
