The 1953 Pontiac Chieftain Catalina was advertised as being “new from bumper to bumper.” It was forwarded as the “perfect expression of the Pontiac idea.” The styling was called “Dual-Streak” and this was exemplified by the twin trim spars that run over the top of the hood and trunk. Gorgeous interior luxury and thrilling performance combined with a lengthier platform created a roomier and lovelier driving experience.
