Cadillac Eldorado Models & History 1999
The Eldorado Touring Coupe (ETC) received a mid-model year update (it went into production in January 1999 and was available to customers as a 1999-1/2 model by March).
- The revised ETC included
- new body color inserts on side and fascia moldings, which replaced the previous chrome inserts
- new seven-spoke wheels with wreath-and-crest center cap
- new P235/60HR16 tires
- new ETC decklid logo with a simplified design
- Massaging lumbar seats were optional in the ETC.
- The “base” coupe again used the 275-horsepower Northstar 4.6-liter V-8 while the ETC used the more powerful 300-horse Northstar.
- The 4T80-E electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission with viscous converter clutch was again used with both Northstar versions.
