The V12, created by Owen Nacker alongside the Sixteen, offered smooth performance and ample torque, making it an exceptional choice for road cars. Produced until 1937, it was available with both Fisher and luxurious Fleetwood bodies used on the V-16 chassis, offering a wide range of design options. The Fleetwood-bodied Twelve rivaled the sixteen-cylinder models in size, power, and exquisite appointments.
However, production of the V12 was limited. Despite the introduction of a new chassis with advanced features and stylish design elements, Cadillac’s most expensive models faced declining sales due to global economic challenges. Only 683 twelve-cylinder models were produced in 1934, enhancing their exclusivity.
