1974 Alfa Romeo 2000 GT Veloce Design

The 2000 GT Veloce (or GTV), which made its debut in 1971, marked the culmination of the classic 105-Series Alfa Romeo. Although there were no significant alterations to its appearance by Bertone, aside from a fresh grille, the body retained the same design as its predecessors, the 1600 and 1750 models.

This model represented the ultimate enlargement of Alfa’s renowned twin-cam four-cylinder engine, now boasting a displacement of 1,962cc and producing 132bhp. Power was transmitted to the road through a five-speed gearbox and limited-slip differential.

With increased torque compared to its 1750 predecessor, the 2000 GT Veloce achieved an impressive top speed of 120mph. These exquisite Italian coupes were purposefully crafted for spirited, high-revving driving, offering exceptional performance and showcasing the beautiful Bertone design in an accessible and captivating package.
