1972 Porsche 911 S Coupe

The Porsche 911 has gained immense popularity for its steadfast commitment to tradition, but in reality, the model has constantly evolved and improved, even from the inception of the first generation of “classic” 911s in 1964.

The year 1972 brought significant improvements, such as an engine displacement increase to 2,341 cubic centimeters and enhanced weight distribution for improved balance.

The range-topping 911 S now generated 190 horsepower, powered by Bosch mechanical fuel injection, and featured a subtle, yet effective, chin spoiler that improved the car’s aerodynamic characteristics at high speeds.
