1964 was the first year the Imperial Crown was designed by Elwood Engel who was the designer of the 1961 Lincoln Continental.  Only 922 convertibles were built in 1964. It is equipped with a strong V8 engine, automatic transmission, padded dash, power seats, power steering, power brakes, head rests, adjustable steering wheel, heat / defrost, push button AM/FM radio, in-dash clock, and wide white wall tires.
