The Bugatti Type 57 is considered by many to be the perfect prewar grand touring car, thanks to its Jean Bugatti-designed chassis and powerful, racing-derived dual-overhead cam 3.3-liter inline-eight engine. However, the personality and demeanor of a particular Type 57 can differ greatly based on the body style it was equipped with, ranging from cutting-edge roadsters to opulent saloons.
Featured here is chassis number 57156 which is a special example of the Type 57, as it was outfitted with several different body styles during its production, including the rare two-seat cabriolet body.
