Manufactured alongside the illustrious 40/50hp Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost, the 20hp model shared the same engineering excellence and gained popularity as a more agile alternative adaptable to various body styles. Powered by a 3,127cc six-cylinder monobloc engine with overhead valves, it was coupled with an in-unit gearbox, single plate clutch, and open shaft featuring spiral bevel drive.

Reflecting the ethos of the company’s founder, Henry Royce, upon its introduction, “simplicity was one of the aims of the designers, but not at the expense of perfection.” Primarily designed for owner-drivers, the Twenty achieved substantial sales post-war, finding favor as a city car, although many were fitted with touring bodies to suit diverse preferences.
