The Ford Mustang is already facing tough competition from Mercury’s Cougar, Pontiac’s Firebird, Plymouth’s Barracuda, and Chevrolet’s Chevy Camaro muscle car. This resulted in Ford giving the 1967 Mustang a major redesign. As a result, the 1967 Ford Mustang came out being a more muscular and powerful muscle car.
