The Jaguar XJS Lynx Eventer is a shooting brake made by Lynx Engineering who previously specialised in building faithful replicas of C and D Types. The whole idea of converting Jags came from the moment when a customer brought his XJ6 to be made into a convertible. After that, Lynx has seen a potential market in conversions and decided to offer convertible versions of newly released Jaguar XJS. Unfortunately for the brand, Jaguar released their own convertible variant in 1988 but some orders still came Lynx’s way. In order to build up a niche again, business went the other way and instead of making convertibles, they decided to transform the XJS into the Eventer estate. Around 67 Eventers were built making them a rare sights on the streets and auctions around the world.
