Cadillac Models & History V-16 1940
Thisis the last Cadillac with a V-16 engine. It looks very much like the 1939 V-16 but had a new instrument panel, taillights, and bumpers. New for 1940 was the introduction of sealed beam headlights and directional signal lights.

- Serial numbers were located on the left front side bar, opposite the steering gear
- Starting Number was the same as the engine number
- Ending Number was the same as the engine number
- Engine numbers were on the upper rear corner of the left cylinder block parallel to the cylinder head
- Starting: 5320001
- Ending: 5320061
