Cadillac Eldorado Models & History 1998

No change occurred in either the Eldorado series lineup from the year previous or in the powertrain combinations used.

  • The new standard features of the Eldo series coupes included four new exterior color choices:
    • Baltic Blue
    • Gold Firemist
    • Moonstone
    • Crimson Pearl
  • There were two new interior color selections:
    • Camel (available only in leather)

1998 Eldorado

      • Pewter (available in cloth or leather in Eldorado and leather only in the Eldorado Touring Coupe)
  • Both the base coupe and ETC received
    • an airbag warning label affixed to the passenger visor
    • new design electrochromic day/night inside rearview mirror
    • new radio with Bose speaker system that additionally received a mute button
    • TheftLock theft-deterrent system
  • An optional radio selection included radio data system (RDS) and weather band
  • The series coupes’ personalization feature was also upgraded with two new door locking modes as well as the remote keyless entry fob gaining an additional doors-locked verification feature.
  • The OnStar communications system was again a dealer-installed option.
  • StabiliTrak stability control system, while already standard equipment on the ETC. was now optional on the base coupe.
  • Unique new standard features found on the ETC were heated front seats and the next-generation of Magnasteer.
