1987 Mercedes-Benz 560 SL

The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class combines groundbreaking engineering with refined luxury. The first SLs were modified versions of the 300 SLR race cars that established Mercedes-Benz’s performance image in the 1950s.

The third generation SL-Class, launched in 1971, featured luxurious features such as automatic climate control, cruise control, and genuine wood accents, as well as the model’s first-ever V-8 engine. Upgrades in 1980 and 1986 included larger engine displacement and performance enhancements, along with cosmetic changes such as a deeper front air dam and third brake lamp.
