The owner of 38 years has left nothing untouched in its construction, which began with a rust- and dent-free body that now incorporates all new GM sheet metal, heavy gauge steel floor boards, trunk floor and wheel tubs. The frame is fully welded, radiused and smoothed and is fitted with chromed front A-arms with 2-inch drop spindles, a narrowed 4.56 12-bolt rear end with 4-link suspension and Konis, Wilwood disc brakes with aluminum calipers and Colorado Customs wheels shod with M/T rubber all around. Pro Street-grade power is delivered by a professionally built 461 CI cast iron big block bored .030 over using an LS6 crank and rods, TRW pistons, a Comp Cams .575 hydraulic cam, ported and polished GM cast iron heads, an aluminum Offenhauser intake with dual quads and 2-inch Hooker jet-hot coated headers. 510 horses are cranked through a fully built Hurst-shifted 400 Turbo automatic; auxiliaries include a polished aluminum radiator, electronic ignition and water pump and a 19-gallon fuel cell. The car’s GM Medium Garnet Metallic paint – both above and below decks – and stainless trim almost defy description; suffice it to say that they have combined to earn it repeat class wins and 10th place worldwide ranking on the ISCA show circuit, multiple Super Chevy Show wins and feature coverage in Camaro Performers Magazine and ESPN’s Mothers Car Show. Always stored in a climate controlled garage, it has accumulated only 50 miles since its completion and is offered in exquisite condition.
