Bentley introduced the T1 model in 1965, and it was a badge-engineered Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, but with a few changes. With the T1 model, Bentley entered into the modern era of unibody construction, leaving the older body-on-frame system behind or just for the open-top vehicles. Even though it looked very similar to the Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, it was a car for the owner to drive, not to be chauffeured.
