1963 Chevy Corvette | Sports Car

1963 Chevy Corvette
1963 Chevy Corvette. This was the first year that the Corvette was offered in a fixed roof coupe style known as the split window coupe because of the signature split rear window that would be unique to 1963 models only. The split window design was not continued the following year due to poor visibility. Other unique body designs of the 1963 Corvette were hidden flip up headlights and no trunk lid. The trunk lid didn’t return until the 1998 convertible.

  1. In my opinion the prettiest american car ever made and if anything would come close to it by a car maker in europe it would have to be a jaguar E type’

  2. Bought one of these the year after I graduated highschool (1972). Gas had just went up to the ridiculous price of .55¢/gal and everyone was dumping cars with V8 engines. Paid $2,800 for it and still own it.
Right now it’s in the middle of frame off restoration. Will post pics when it’s done.
