1962 Corvette

1962 Corvette sports car

1962 Corvette. Coming into the 1962 model year, this Corvette design had been in production for 7 years. And if anyone was growing tired of it, it didn’t show. In 1961, 10,931 Corvettes were produced: a far cry from the 1955 production of only 700 units. It seemed like Chevrolet could continue to sell this car forever.

  1. What happened to the “fins” in the cove? Other than that why the change to the grille? They were the ID of that model compared to the ’61 – this for all you’d know could be a ’58 with a revamped hood if it wasn’t for the tail end

  2. Sorry, but I don’t think you have your history right. 1958 was the first year for dual headlights, not 1955, so that body was only around for five years. 1953 – 1955 look the same, 1956 – 1957 are the same body and Interior.
