After 1953, Ford’s Country Squire wagons were woodies in name only, with even the formerly organic edging giving way to more durable woodgrain fiberglass.

The Squire was the top of the line Ford wagon model during the era. The Squire came equipped with three row collapsible seating, an automatic transmission and the venerable Thunderbird 292cid V8 engine. It offered a functional and well equipped interior that was very ’50s chic.
