1954 Plymouth Belmont Concept Car

This beautifully designed one-off concept car was designed by Chrysler Corporation, under the direction of Virgil Exner, for the 1954 Chicago Auto Show and New York Autorama Shows. The body was built for Chrysler by Briggs Manufacturing Company on the Plymouth 114-inch wheelbase chassis and was the first Plymouth to carry a body constructed of fiberglass, and the first Plymouth fitted with a V-8 engine. It carries its original Dodge Poly-Head V-8 with serial number is P27-1014 and is backed with its original Hy-Drive semi-automatic transmission.
