1940 Buick Estate

1940 Buick Estate

The first Buick Estate was made in 1940. The large-bodied station wagon was based on GM C platform Buick Super which was modified to accommodate a wooden body. Due to being produced for only one year, the Super Estate is now one of the most desirable and collectible amongst estates made by Buick. In the later production, the station wagon was based on a variety of GM’s platforms including Special’s B-platform for 1941 and 1942 model years and Super and Roadmaster’s C-platform for 1946 and 1953.
